11 tracks of good old fashioned punk rock from a band who if you haven't heard of, you really should get out more. There isn't a bad note played on this CD and it has some of the best sing-a-long choruses I've heard in a long time. The booklet has all the words so front room karaoke shenanigans won't be far away. Catch this band if you get the chance as I have yet to see them play a bad set. A great CD from a great set of lads.

Resistance 77 were a pretty tidy outfit when they first came to light in the 80's but they have been much more impressive since reforming a few years back, Long Time Dead their second album for Captain Oi! may be let down a little by the low key production job but songs like Honesty, Terrorist and the title track are as furious as passionate as anything from the bands back catalogue.

Most of America's "punk" fraternity has decided to ignore the thunderous engine which once powered mosh-pit-fuls of bouncing Mohawks, replacing it with varnish-smooth production and chart-topping melodies. Most Britpunks have gone the other way, opting for the raw, four-drunks-in-the-corner-of-the-pub ambition they thought made The Clash good. Of course, The Clash were good - because they found a balance between the two. And in Long Time Dead, so have Resistance 77. From the brutal Saturday on the Terraces to the take-off turbulence of Terrorist, this has the anger, salty guitars and 700mph snareshots of punk - but thrown into a centrifuge of melody Long Time Dead is a well thought out, listenable and enjoyable LP, British punk at its very best.

The third and best album to date this Nottingham quartet, whose albums appear to get better with age. Featuring eleven well-produced chunks of ye olde melodic punk rock interspersed with sing along chorus', crunching guitars and lyrics stretching from the hard trodden working man's point of view to getting pissed on the Pivo in the Czech Republic via this shite Government's fuck-up's on the home front and err....terrorist scum. As stated their best to date, which is quite an achievement cos their last album "Retaliate First" was pretty tasty as well. Best song, "The Boys In Blue", with it's uncannily accurate; "call 999, a fucking waste of time", too right guvnor!!!! "No Sleep In Bielefeld" would interest Heini and "Saturday On The Terraces", although pretty good needs the swearing content highered. The opening track "In The Gutter" is actually not about Nottingham Forest surprisingly enough!!! Another good release from one of the most under-rated bands on the punk scene.
